What Would Happen if the Solar System Gained a Super-Earth?
The Solar System has four terrestrial planets, four giant planets, and a range of dwarf planets. Astronomers have discovered additional types of worlds in other star systems that don't exist here, like mini-neptunes and super-earths. What would happen to the Solar System's dynamics if a super-earth with 1-10 times the mass of Earth suddenly appeared between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter?
