Was watching #PlanetEarth2 and loved the #GIS animations, and so I broke open my dusty old copy of #Blender and cracked out a short animation about something I hold near and dear, the #SuperiorHikingTrail,. Made with my ukulele and #QGIS. Looking forward to exploring some more ideas now that I've started this madness up again.

I went hiking near Grand Marais MN for several days last week. I didn't take photos of vistas or waterfalls because I'm a crap photographer. I did capture photos of bees, monotropa uniflora, and moose droppings though. 🙂

Droughts in northern Minnesota led to fire bans, trickling waterfalls, and low streams. Shelby our #traildog loves to cool herself off at every water source by plopping down and letting her thick fur sponge up all the cool water.
