I shot this in December 2015, when #Lufthansa did some crew training on the #SuperJumbo at my local airport #LeipzigHalleAirport.
Local media had announced the A380 coming for training flights and as you can see in the beginning of the video, lots of people came to see it.

The #Airbus_A380, a behemoth of the skies, has completed a trial flight powered on cooking oil.
The test #airplane completed a #three_hour flight from #Blagnac_Airport in #Toulouse -- Airbus' French headquarters -- on 25 March.
It was powered by #Sustainable_Aviation_Fuel, or SAF -- #predominantly made of used cooking oil and #waste_fats -- and operating on a single #Rolls_Royce #Trent 900 #engine.

243 followers · 9170 posts · Server mstdn.io#Airbus hat heute den letzten #A380 ausgeliefert. Der #Superjumbo ist von Anfang an unter einem schlechten Stern gestanden und ich verstehe kurfristig auch die Gründe für sein Ende.
Längerfristig werden wir das aber bitte bereuen, wenige große #Flugzeuge sind für mich die viel bessere Alternative zu vielen kleinen.
