I have also been running a #SuperSID. This is a #VLF receiver intended to detect Sudden Ionospheric Disturbances (SIDs) - typically from solar x-ray bursts. I've definitely picked up a couple but I recently replaced the monitor PC with a #RaspberryPI because Windows was too unreliable.
It has also forced me to clean up electrical noise from the house (typically dimmer switches).
An interesting side project was an EMI detector, which my son used as a ghost detector at Halloween

Hobbies in recent yrs have included #homebrewing and #modelrailroading. This past year I've been into #radioastronomy & am a member of the Soc of Amateur Radio Astronomy.
So far I've been experimenting with #ELF - detecting whistlers from thunderstorms. As you can imagine, living in the S. Plains of the US are a good source!
