The ambulance and nurses strikes reminds us of the sad reality that when go well it is a management triumph but when things go wrong it is the workers fault. Nobody can fault the hard work and dedication of NHS workers. The government must take responsibility for not paying them enough so they can afford to live. #supportthenhsworkers

Interviewer on BBC Radio trying to talk up the dangers of the ambulance strike and apportion blame. Union leader having none of it.
Interviewer asked if no ambulances on strike days meant people should stop unnecessary travel, contact sports or anything risky. The response? It’s just as risky on a non-strike day as it could be a nine hour wait for an ambulance WHICH IS ALSO WHY THEY ARE STRIKING.

The nurses strike is a national embarrassment to everyone in this country. How can we say we support and value the NHS when we don’t value the people who work in it.
