I think the #republicanparty is so ideologically bankrupt that #democrats can (and should) legitimately use their own talking points against them.

#lawandorder? Republicans are literally promising to put criminals back on the street by pardoning domestic terrorists.
#freespeech? Republicans are attacking the free speech of queer people to express themselves via drag and censoring books.
#smallgovernment ? Republicans are expanding the role government plays in your life by banning abortion and are promising to ban contraceptives.
#supportthetroops? Republicans would rather have a weakened defense force, exclude qualified people from joining the military, and inject their culture war politics into the military.

I think Democrats need to use this language to carve out voters from the Republican base. I believe conservatives won't respond to calls to empathize with marginalized groups but will respond to a perceived threat to the political values the Republican party instilled in them for decades.
