Well I finally got around to installing #RaspberryPiOS on the #SurfaceRT tablet. Outside of seemingly an h264 codec issue, it's running pretty well. Not fast, but well. It managed to run overleaf okay through chromium so in theory I could use it for work.

Finally,
a solution for still using this paperweight in 2023.
After running Windows 10 on it with better results than with W8 it will be a massive leap towards usability.
About one year ago I tried pmOS, but couldn't get WiFi running and the attached keyboard didn't work either.
One more spare time project for me 😊

saw a Surface charger on my teachers desk (he uses a Surface Pro 3) and went to look at why he had the Go size charger for a Pro 3, turns out it was a Surface RT charger!
