Took my kids to the park this afternoon. While they kicked a ball around, I went for a cruise on the #surfskate. Got a few curious looks - it's not a style of #skateboarding that you see very often out and about. Felt good though, first skate in about 3 weeks since we went off for holidays.

🌊 🛹 Thanks! My dad can't ride fakie on the CX trucks, that's why he bought a second hands Carver Scape with C5 trucks, with small hard wheels. It's much easier to ride fakie on the C5 trucks. 🌊 🛹

Crowd was interesting - all guys in their 30's and 40's. Loads who hadn't skated since their teens, swore off it due to injuries, now coming back because of their kids. Some coming into it via surfing.

#Surfskate is a good option for those who aren't interested in throwing themselves about or doing kickflips, just want to carve some nice lines, roll down some ramps... #skateboarding #laterSkater

Today's session went really well. I have pumping the board nailed, sharp turns are in the bag, and started working on kicking out the board into a tail slide (this needs much more work). Stretching beforehand really helped. #LaterSkater #surfskate

Took the #surfskate out for an hour after the kids went to bed. There's a reason why surfers always seem to be so lean - it's just so physical!

#Surfskate is a really physical style of riding. Unlike surfing, wind surfing, or skiing, you don't need to travel for ages to do it or have the weather absolutely perfect. I am 100% a fan. Pure magic. #skateboarding
