Quietish trapping last night. Quite chilly.

(1) It’s Rosy Footman time again. First sighting in 2023.
Another (2) Black Arches (different to two nights ago).
How can you not love the face of a (3) Buff Tip? (Reminds me of Janice from The Muppets).
And a new for garden Lathronympha Strigana (never ignore the miniature micromoths)!

Some nice variety of mothage came to visit the trap last night including:

1) Yellow Shell
2) Black Arches
3) Garden Tiger
4) Scalloped Oak

I had such a positive response to my first moth post, I'll do more. All from my back garden, nocturnal, and released back into the wild.

This is a Puss moth, Cerura vinula, wingspan about 60mm.

I always follow back, and am really grateful for a boost.
