Need new tyres for the #mtb. Gets muddy round here in winter and XC tyres won't cut it.

It's an old frame (29er) so clearance is limited, can go to about 2.1 on the back, maybe 2.2 at a push. Could probably do about 2.4 on the front (which would help with no suspension!). Plenty of puncture protection is a must, #sussexmtb is flinty under all the mud!

This combination seems to make for limited choice these days with most bikes now happily accommodating 2.5+ tyres.
