Just because it’s organic, recycled or made in the USA doesn’t make it #sustainblefashion. Consumers want an easy flag to signify sustainability, actual sustainability is so much more complex.

@CynthiaA @tfl - also the irony of a “socially responsible” brand using Zara clothes. 😂 Whooo boy - if that’s the case it’s a great example of what I always whinge about Re #sustainblefashion brands that people slap some adjectives on there & think it’s “sustainable” & how ppl can’t recognize quality today which is really the only sustainable thing.

“Buy clothes that have enduring value…” this needs to be the core of every #sustainblefashion convo & headline… Period. Full stop.

My advice when it comes to #sustainblefashion - when you find an item you really love buy two so you always have one, & when things need to be repaired take the time to take it to somewhere really good not just what’s convenient. The state of my favorite boots which I need rt now
