@LilFluff personally i went for an USB.
I made this choice based on the following:
1) budget: this model, recently discontinued was pretty affordable (I paid it a bit less than 350 €)
2) not planning to play for a live audience so not minding to be corded to a computer
3) not wanting poor quality built-in sounds (there are none on this ewi USB model) and preferring by far pricier but high quality hyper realistic virtual instruments from (/2)
