Who's this in the backyard eating our lawn?

Why it's our little Swamp Wallaby.

She's here most afternoons around dusk now. Clearly needing to really eat to help feed the joey.

Our little is back in our backyard this evening, and it looks like it might be a female with joey, given the bulging pouch. Can't tell for certain, but it appears that way.

While reviewing the wildlife camera footage this morning, I was presented with a random Wallaby

We had our semi-regular Wallaby visitor in the backyard again this evening. It was /just/ light enough to get some shots (well two frames from 10 were usable - 1/40th sec, iso3200, Æ’/1.8 @ 200mm)

Just got home to find this young Swamp Wallaby in the backyard. Amazingly it didn't hop away instantly, and I had time to get upstairs and grab a camera.

Happy Friday!

This morning our resident Swamp Wallaby was in the backyard and was so engaged with nibbling tasty grass that I managed to leave the house and take the car out without it hopping away. This also meant I got a few photos too.

Then, upon getting to work, I found the White Magpie again. Clearly a good day for wildlife.

As promised, better quality photos of the Swamp Wallabies that were in the backyard this morning. The adult female of course stood directly behind the weather station pole, so that could have been better, but it is what it is.

There will be better photos this arvo after work when I can download them from the big camera, but I nearly had to stay home this morning instead of going to the office so as to not disturb this mother and joey swamp wallaby pair in the backyard.

A somewhat unconventional wallaby photo. This Swamp Wallaby Joey was in out backyard, and I took the "safe" shot of shooting through the veranda railing slats before trying to get in a better position.
But since he and his mother knew I was there, they bolted as soon as I was no longer behind the railing.

One of our regular wallabies was in the backyard as I was making breakfast.

I'm thinking this might be a male. Although it's kinda hard to tell with wallabies (not hard to miss with bigger Roos).

I'm going to guess an ID of Swamp Wallaby, since it doesn't have the red neck and shoulders of the Red-necked Wallaby, even if the face isn't quite as dark as you'd expect for a swampy.
