Watching Pavlova were Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks, who had been filming ‘Dorothy Vernon of Haddon Hall’ just a few miles away. Watching Pavlova’s dying swan were Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks, who had been filming a few miles away at Haddon Hall. Not a bad claim to fame from a theatre in a small town in rural Derbyshire!
