For some reason the #RhodeIsland #ChampionTrees list has been scrubbed from the Internet BUT thanks to the power of the Internet Archive I’ve recovered this:

Unless there is a larger #SpindleTree at #SwanPointCemetery it would appear this tree has a height of 62’ (18.9 m), circumference of 132” (3.35 m) and average crown spread of 50’ (15.2 m) — good grief!

Wow, had no idea #SpindleTree #Euonymus_europaeus got *this* big! Seen at #SwanPointCemetery in #Providence #RhodeIsland — I’ll have to get more precise measurements, this bad boy has got to be pushing 40 feet (~12 meters).
