I moved to #RVA three years ago after 20+ years in Nashville, TN. I grew up in #Virginia and moving back here has been a life-long goal. I'm a history professor at the Univ. of Richmond. My research expertise is in southern political and legal history, and my book on the history of felon disfranchisement has been cited in various court cases. My current work is on the history of limitations on court testimony. I’m interested in local politics, especially public education. I’m an #AAUP member, avid vegetable gardener, wine nerd, and supporter of democracy in #Ukraine.
