What do you guys do with gauge swatches when you're done with them?? I don't want to throw it away! That feels so wasteful.

Maybe I can keep them somewhere and eventually gather enough to make a patchwork blanket or something...

For the next #swatch I charted the pattern in excel and used some conditional formatting to colour the cells.
Exchanged the violet and the blue and played around a bit.
But even the much lighter turquoise does not offer enough contrast. I suck at colour matching.

This swatch, too, will not work.

Had five of the colors in other brands and some of them were notably more intense. And the daVinci perylene green was greener. And can I just say I still don't much like Viridian but wowza the granulation. Was surprised that only one listed a different pigment. #watercolor #swatching #Comparisons #swatches

Decided to stay up and finish the swatch. Two episodes of Father Brown later, i-cord loop complete, inside yarn ends trimmed. Colors in the photo are not at all true. It's going in a hot bath now and I'll get another picture tomorrow.

Made some progress. Not too bad. I'm not certain I like enough to do a whole vest. And I'm not certain I have enough yarn either. Should have weighed my cakes before I started so that I could get a better estimate. Also need to look up which yarn is dominant again, because I suspect I'm doing it the wrong way. Still... it's just a tea cozy! This is how we learn.

A few weeks ago I got this lovely palette I want to review and I really love the colours and how they swatch, the granulation etc. But I struggle so much actually using it in a way that I like. Never had that before happening but I guess it's normal?
