Mathematician Sophie Maclean used an algorithm to find out what the ultimate swear word should be. It came up with ‘fanny’.

If you follow me #nsfw and #explicit #swearwords must be expected. That's not because I'm an exceptional rude person but I have to make sure that I figure out fast if US Amarican so called moral rules kick in somewhere. So go fuck yourself you hypocrite nipple haters.

Doing some editing on my mystery novel and Word just slays me. It's a bit prissy about the use of swearing. I have a character say "damn." Word flags it and notes "This language may be offensive to your reader."

For the past couple of weeks I’ve been working on making some cards. I’ve made some pretty Valentine’s and Mother’s Day cards and these….not so nice, naughty cards 😇
If you know a slug, a toad, a T**t or a 🌊 word, I have the cards you’re looking for. All cards can be found here ⬇️

I like #boosting good content, but if your toot has #swearwords in it, I'm just not going to boost it.
I guess I may be considered old fashioned in this regard, but I think it's important to have proper and civil communication.
I wish it was called "rude language" instead of "strong language", as if it's something desirable. It is not. If you have a strong opinion, it can and should be strong enough to stand on its own.
Etymology of Ass
from the Etymology Online website:
The Old English "assa" is a back-formation from assen (she-ass), from Celtic (compare Old Irish asan, Old Cornish asen), from Latin asinus.
"Assa" replaced the Old English esol, from Proto-West Germanic "asil."

"Not all sounds are equally suitable for profanity," say the authors of this new study of #swearwords in seven different languages. Expletives tend not to have sounds such as 'l', 'r', 'w', and 'y' (so-called approximants). The authors get extra points for giving examples from Huttese, Xenexian, and Caprican. https://link.springer.com/article/10.3758/s13423-022-02202-0 #linguistics
