Anywhere I can get my #SweetAdelines (in my case, nostalgic) fix on the interwebz? It seems so hard to actually get streaming music like this anywhere! Honestly think Sweet Adelines Int should, like, host a 24/7 streaming channel or something!

This week I've been thinking about purpose, and it struck me that even though all I do is sing as a hobby I truly feel like my purpose in life is to sing for people.

Then last night at rehearsal someone said something the slightest bit critical and it ruined my night. So I need to develop a thicker skin before I consider this a true purpose in life.

I guess I'm of the age now that friends and their spouses are going to start getting ill and passing away. A few of my colleagues from my #SweetAdelines chorus passed away over the last few years but so far the only close friend death was due to an aggressive breast cancer several years ago.

Today is a friend's husband's funeral. I'm not sure what US funeral etiquette is, really. I'm dressed in black. I paid attention to my hair and makeup because it just felt respectful. Anything I'm missing?

The only thing I like better than a big event that completely upends my normal routine, is when that event is over and I can start reassembling the routine again.

Spent a cozy half hour setting up my #BulletJournal for the new month and reflecting on the old. Now that contest is over it's time to start focusing back on health goals.

I was around someone on Tuesday and Thursday who tested positive for COVID on Friday. I tested Friday and today, both negative. Please keep your fingers crossed for me friendos!! If I have to miss my very first #SweetAdelines regional competition I will be super duper sad.

Dress rehearsal went SO WELL last night!! We invited friends and family so it was nice to sing to a "home crowd" to get our nerves out. One week from tomorrow we'll be on the contest stage in Albany!

What do you reply to a person who is intent on being contradictory to pretty much everything, playing "devil's advocate" and bringing down the morale of the group in a time (contest season) where a positive attitude is important?

Our music team is struggling with 1 bad-apple section leader, and it's starting to affect the director badly.

I had a choral concert in full early 20th century period dress, a reopening of an old argument by a persistent fellow chorus member, and a passive aggressive text from an in law today.
