The first are potted up and moved to the cold greenhouse. They were broken off rooting in water and then put in glasses with water to root. 10 slips from 3 tubers so far (more to come).
The stack with module trays in euroboxes is skyrocketing again.
QUESTION
Common knowledge says to sow 2 seeds of corn and to thin for 1 plant, but the cob suggests clusters of plants in nature. Has anyone tried growing in modules/clusters of 2?

If I remember correctly, I got the method for starting from .
My wife doesn't really get why I watch the show, but they are often so hands-on/DIY (+ I love Australia 😉).

Most years, my succes with sweet potatoes is limited, too. But as you said, with changing climate you could more easily catch a good year. They do well in south 🇩🇪 .
Plus: If the tubers are not overwhelmingly large, the folliage makes more than a substitute for spinach.

Yeah, I went slightly mad with the amount of chillies, peppers and aubergines this year. 😃
As you assumed, they are all destined for the the new mini polytunnel.
The 4th bed in there is for . They are sprouting in glasses with water.
Once the shoots reach ~10cm, I break them off and put them in water to root.
I hope for 3 sweet potatoes to produce 10+ slips.
Everything more than the needed 3-4 plants goes to the market garden/allotment for an outdoor trial.
