I found Sandy’s (Alexander Mackendrick) notes on Sweet Smell of Success : which includes a slice of the original script written by Ernest Lehman. Then Sandy’s notes on a rewrite which was taken over by Clifford Odets when Lehman fell I’ll. It’s a great look at the process of the creatives involved in this film classic. #sweetsmell #Mackendrick #Lehman #Odets
