Just got home from helping fight a small house fire in a neighboring community with the fire department.

It seems like every fire out here requires you to walk up hill (both ways) in 60 pounds of gear & 40 pounds of equipment.

I "threw" 2 ladders against the house below windows for access and emergency egress. Then I helped move hose into the doorway and then moved inside the house to assist with venting the smoke out of the house & improve the atmosphere and visibility.

Good morning friends from Little Redwood Fox and I! *big, friendly, foxie, hugs* ❤️

Had an early start to my day. Roused out of bed at 3am to respond to a commercial fire at a industrial plant in a nearby community.

My department responded as the Rapid Intervention Team, but because we came off our engine ready to work, wearing SCBA, we were put right in to put out the fire.

*yawns* It's gonna be a long day.
