That would still leave the issue of banks deciding to evict an unpleasant customer, but at least having that customer isn't illegal as it sounds like it was in the case of the US/switter

But of course, this butts up against one of the Fediverse's shortcomings: it isn't particularly useful for promoting illegal speech that *should* be lega, like the communications of #SexWorkers who were purged from the internet en masse following the passage of #SESTA/#FOSTA. When sex workers tried to establish a new home in the fediverse on a server called #Switter, it was effectively crushed.

But there are problems at Twitter.
How many relevant hashtags are censored now? It's becoming less useful all the time. I'd say that a dedicated sex work platform is required but #Switter demonstrated how that put everyone in one place to be easily targeted.
