I say I have "good" insurance, but it is nothing compared to my mother's insurance. She worked for the #VA for over 20 years and when she retired they let her keep her #insurance. She pays a lot more for it in retirement, but she kept it. She pays $1 or about for just about any #medication she might need. I would love to know what #Symbicort would cost on her insurance.

When I first started my current job, preventive #medication was covered 100%. I paid nothing for #Symbicort. It was something. Then the very next year they readjusted their policy on covering preventive #medicine. I have always wondered if my expensive #inhaler was the reason for the change.

My #pharmacy is out of stock on #Symbicort every month I call in a refill. One would think since I get it every month they would know that is one more person they need to keep it in stock for. It's just an #inhaler, but without insurance I could never afford it. If I remember correctly it is $300 or more without insurance. I only pay $40 and that is still expensive considering I have good insurance. I hate the #pharmaceutical companies. Such advances could be made without centralizing profit.
