I'm currently working on reorganizing #Ansible playbooks in #DebOps a bit to remove a large set of #symlinks in the repository. The different service playbooks will be grouped into "layers" which then will be included in the "site.yml" playbook.

I've had this idea of a filesystem-based relational #database that uses #symlinks for relations. The endgoal is to allow easily syncing only the changed data to #IPFS but it could be anything else e.g #git.
Specifically for cases like #DataPreservation it might be handy. #openData projects often export a huge zip, but when things change, they have to reexport the entire DB again.
Haven't had time to work on it, but somebody else could take the idea and run with it.

#Grsync is a "graphical" version of #rsync. Might be useful, even just for seeing the options of rsync arranged differently.
The -a option is for #archive mode and preserves #permissions, #symlinks, #dates, #ownership (eg #chown). If our records are correct, you can do the same with the individual options (-rlptgoD) but pls double-check.
If there are files/folders you want to exclude (too big, temp files or you want to #encrypt separately etc) look into '--exclude-from' option.
