The new #Sync for Lemmy update allows users to basically browse the rest of the Lemmy-verse from the app itself. You can see what's going on in other instances, see a long list of community's inside that instance and subscribe and comment. Hopefully we see this sort of thing become a native part of the Lemmy experience because suddenly everything feels so accessible.

Anyone tested PouchDB in the browser and set it up so it syncs with CouchDB? I'm trying to make a minimal thing and was wondering if it could sync a blob/attachment. That way I could get away with some html/css/javascript on github.io and only CouchDB as a webserver.

Hard agree on all of this. Foss-in my experience- is always missing the final polish that would make it enjoyable to use.

As an example, the #FOSS mastodon app i'm using to type this just erased my message once i opened my #foldable. For #Lemmy apps, I reached out to a few devs to see if they're adding tablet/foldable support, and all said it was not in the pipeline.

The experience on #Sync is simply better if you have a nice device and want apps to match. (Android != jank)

A good app for notes, but not necessarily a notes app.
UI similar to Apple Notes but it HAS to have an Android + macOS + iOS app and must sync to Nextcloud/Webdav.

I use iWriter Pro, NC Notes and 1Writer now but I'm sick and tired of using Markdown for notes and writing.

Any ideas?
