I've been maintaining the #EDK2 #UEFI firmware in #Buildroot. I will be packaging it in #pkgsrc as well to make it more available.

In the #ARM64 space, however, EDK2 has still got very limited use. It works well on #MachiatoBin, #Honeycomb and #Socionext #Synquacer hardware. But those are inaccessible and expensive platforms.

I've been doing a bit more ripping of my DVD collection with #makemkv which seems to do a better job on some of my more troublesome disks. The #SynQuacer is chewing through the 576p25 rips so fast it's hard to keep #handbrake's queue fed.

Heh my #SynQuacer can encode my GoT BluRay's faster than my aging #intel Core 2 Duo. #handbrake reports a stunning 12.45fps (@4.9W) vs the Core2 doing about 10.45fps at ~90W. The 1Ghz #arm A53's may be weedy but more certainly seem to be better.
