#Synthtember No. 11 "Eddy's in the Spacetime Continuum". Thinking to shake things up a bit, today's #synthesizer improv is recorded in the box - an experiment for me insofar as this is my first experience using only native #Bitwig synths to compose a song. No meandering #psychedelic drone blowouts here - actual #electronic #music veering towards #synthpop - with an actual structure and everything. Wonders never cease!

Found this old patch sheet. Really old, must be from around 1984 or something. No idea. I never owned an MS20 or TR606 and don't remember having one in school either. (There was an MS50 at some stage, and the Korg CV converter so it could drive the Moog)

"Tempo = 76, Divorce? Alcohol?" gotta be a band or album name or something surely now.

Jonathan hates how loud the lighting is when it's all on so I had to wait until he left before I could fire it up and have my own little session. I wish the video was smoother but that's what you get using a 10+ yo laptop to run OBS. I really have to stop spending money on cheap lighting and save it up for that M2-Pro Mini.

Der #Marantz #Receiver aus den 70ern von meinem Vater hatte es: „Quadro“. Leider hatte mein Vater aber nur zwei Lautsprecher. Seit dem ist das in meinem Kopf: #Quadrophonie anstatt #Stereo. (Mittels #QuadPanner #Modul.)

Und jetzt ist es in meinem Mini-Studio, noch zwei gebrauchte #Abhörboxen bestellt, die zu meinen guten alten von #Fostex passen und das #Synthesizer Gezwischer aus #vcvRack kreist mir psychedelisch um die Birne herum.

Die Filmwelt phantasiert von Dolby 5.1 #Surround, aber abseits vom echten #Kino macht das keinen Sinn mehr. der Konsument nutzt heutzutage die #Bluetooth #Lärmwurst, und die ist bestenfalls pseudeo-stereo. Somit liegt das lizenzfreie und konzeptionell einfache Quadro näher für die Idee einer Kunscht-Installation.

Lately, I've mostly used big machines, so I thought to test out a small set-up consisting of smaller instruments and a lot of audio processing (nothing fancy, some huge reverbs and saturators). The result is this soundscape for the King Drone, the Korg Volca Keys, and the 0-coast.
