Driving me absolutely insane how this, at first glance, seemingly lovingly crafted #MacOS #System6 blanket is a non-integer nearest neighbor resized screenshot. Downright painful to look at...so close, yet so far. https://throwboy.com/products/classic-desktop-knit-cotton-blanket

@vga256 Thanks.
No, not really but the only #68k mac I own nowadays and the first classical mac I've ever owned. So it's also the first time I use #System6.
About 20 years ago I had two maxed out #Quadra950 I sadly threw away.
Got a free #Macintosh #Classic with 4MB RAM. Cleaned the motherboard up with some alcohol and it boots. Installed #System6 on the #bluescsi
Such a nice feeling working with a completely #silent computer like this.

A #bluescsi arrived a month ago. Works really great to get an old #Macintosh #Classic working.
First challenge to get #System6 on it though. Installer expected several disks to be swapped, but I ran the installer directly from the SD-card.
System6 apparently works just great with copying the content to the drive manually. So now i've got a Swedish 6.0.7 running so my Swedish keyboard works alright too.

I re-discovered how to enable 32-bit addressing in System 6.
Get ahold of "Optima 32" (I use v2.0 from Macintosh Repository). The .sit archive there is a format that cannot be handled by StuffIt Expander 3.5.1; I worked around this by using unarchiver on Linux and renaming the resultant .rsrc file to match AppleDouble nomenclature.
Drop that in the System folder, change the Finder version resource to 6.1.7 in "vers ID = 1" with ResEdit, reboot, and *done*.
