The second #SystemsFailure of the day.. I was warned about this, and knowing how tech organisations work, I shouldn’t be surprised. Beware EV “connected services” - especially if you buy an older EV, and especially if the manufacturer has an improved version of their connected services for their newer model. The older system will become harder to maintain, knowledge within the company may move/leave/be redeployed on the newer system and you as a consumer will have a poorer experience.
"We’ve got the tools to fix these problems, what we’re missing is the political will. Daily updates and pooled wait-lists across regions — perhaps even across provinces — can save money, time, and even lives. Those savings are increasingly difficult to ignore." https://www.thestar.com/business/opinion/2023/02/08/centralized-wait-lists-work-so-why-isnt-canada-using-them-in-health-care-across-the-country.html

How I thought I'd be spending today: taking it easy, catching up on old emails, a long walk, some media re supporting UNDRIP
How I'm spending today: reading reports from oversight & complaints bodies into the LynnMall attack. Feeling rage at the things that could have been done to prevent it but weren't; feeling grief for victims that were let down by state systems; silently screaming at what has been missed out of the reports.
