Not much point attempting to predict a winner of the Womens #T20WorldCup at Newlands today after suggesting South Africa wouldn't come within 100 runs of England in the semi-final.

Today's final is a huge moment for the women's game in South Africa, and even if they cannot overcome the mighty Australians, just setting foot on the field today is a massive achievement.

I've always known #deepakhooda as a bowler, rather than as a batsman. Hooda's bowling performance today, did show, he could have been used as an all rounder in #T20WorldCup , rather than just as a batsmen. Wonder what #RohitSharma and the Team Management we're thinking then.

The worst thing about England’s #T20WorldCup win is that they’ve been easily the best white ball side for several years now and previously only had the one trophy (in a match they tied) to show for it. Which was immense fun. A sad thing to discard for a transient moment of glory.

So in a way, Australia were a mere 0.5 of a NRR away from being #T20WorldCup champions again. Funny old game. Imagine Glenn Maxwell hitting the winning runs with a broken leg. An astonishing thing to see. Still, that’s why we call it #Maxwellball.
