Coucou les #musiciens. J'ai cette #tablature : 46 notes régulières à jouer deux fois. Mais 46 ça ne rentre pas dans un 4/4 ou autre chose. Du coup j'ai bricolé avec 1/2 pour les 6 premières, et 2/1 pour les suivantes (histoire de ne pas avoir trop de barres de mesures dont je n'ai rien à faire). Si je pouvais enlever les mesures ça m'irait, mais tuxguitar ne le propose pas.

Est-ce qu'il y a un truc plus élégant à faire que mon 1/2 puis 2/1 ? Je ne comprends pas grand chose à cette notation.

When generating #tablature, LilyPond's default behavior is to place the notes as low on the fingerboard as it can, and also to use open strings whenever it can.

I was glad to find just now that you can override both of those behaviors if you're trying to arrange something further up the neck:

tl;dr:

\set TabStaff.minimumFret = #[n]
\set TabStaff.restrainOpenStrings = ##t

(where [n] is the lowest fret you want to LilyPond to consider when calculating where to put a note on the fretboard)

Whoa, somebody actually purchased some printed sheet music vs my #bandcamp #merch page!

Bandcamp has support for digital bonus content (PDFs, etc) but only for albums, not individual tracks... so when I released 'Funeral March' as a standalone track the only way I could also release the sheet music was as physical merch.

Looking ahead to next month's bandcamp Friday, I'm thinking I may try to put together a shorter EP that includes 'Funeral March' and 'Ephriam's Lament', plus a bonus edition that includes a notation+tab PDF.
