Wow, what a story!

I've had SVT since age 11, but no atrial fibrillation or anything dangerous. In my case my heart rate always reverts to normal rhythm by itself, never had adenosine.😬

My version of SVT is not disabling or life threatening in any way -- I'm lucky! But SVT can be pretty exhausting when it happens.

Anyway, here's what my heart was doing on Sunday morning for about 15 minutes (screenshot from an ECG, 202 bpm)

I've had Postural #tachycardia syndrome for years. I found out about the condition in 2020 after getting a pulse oximeter alert whilst waiting for the kettle to boil.

I've "always gotten light headed standing up". Headrushes upon standing up were "my thing". After Covid hit, I bought an oximeter and found that standing up caused my pulse rate to rise to 120bpm.

This wasn't the result of Long Covid, but something before March 2020. I had this problem already when the pandemic hit

Good news: today I did another simple ghetto tilt-table test, and my pulse only increased 5bpm upon standing up.

So my #POTS has finally gone! All it took was 3¼ years of staying healthy.

Two illnesses are bragging about the symptoms they cause.

POTS: Hi, I'm postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome! I can make someone's heart go really fast - 150 bpm - even while standing still!

SVT (supraventricular tachycardia): Hold my beer.

I've got lots of issues:
#HaT (#HeriditaryAlphaTryptasemia),
#MCAS (#MastCellDisease),
#AATD (#Alpha1AntiTryptsinDeficiency),
#IgA (none) & #IgM (low) deficiencies,
#migraine,
and had #cancer (#ColonCancer, stage IV)

I have #hypermobility problems (likely #EDS #hEDS), and #POTS (#tachycardia).

I probably also have: #autism & #ADHD

And perhaps: #AnkylosingSpondylitis
