Please suggest or games with environment-interaction on at least the level of 5++, Divine Divinity, Divinity: Original Sin, , Skyrim, , or a well-modeled /
/ / -level — objects are movable or at least destructible, items “physically” exist in the world and aren’t just transfered from one menu to another (inventory), things can be in or on other things…

I am tired of games that are all gloss and surface with just the plot-relevant things being interactable.

Bonus points for elemental physics (water, fire, etc.), day/night/weather/climate, and basic needs simulation like needing to stay warm, fed, etc.

Reluctant malus points for pure dungeon crawls, although I do in principle adore games like Arx Fatalis, Dark Messiah of M&M, and Monomyth.

Serious malus points for turn-based games with party micro-management. Single-player much preferred.

Fantasy also much preferred.

Thinking about shifting my project from to - quickly re-implemented the handful of rooms I've done so far; seems to be working just as well, though I don't like the typeface. I think there's a way to change it.

Thinking of pivoting my project from to ... TADS hasn't been updated in what, a decade? But it makes more programmatic sense to me.

users (are any on Mastodon?): Eric Eve is preparing to release adv3Lite 1.6, which would be the first release in several years. adv3Lite is a simplified, but still powerful, library for building interactive fiction.

(Both TADS entries in this year's IF Comp used adv3Lite.)
