Very handy if you like taking part in these things but can't remember if you've posted something before.

@keefeglise Absolutely. Journalism is great and all but there are too many tubthumpers out there, and I don't necessarily want my stream to be full of their hot takes on the current news stories. Would be great if all news was #tagged automatically and we had the ability to filter (in, or out) of tags.

@BlckheathHopper Kind of a halfhearted implementation, isn't it?! I've come around to their way of thinking that, on the whole, #QuoteTweets are more trouble than they're worth. But the question then becomes whether people want to be #tagged into a discussion that mentions them in passing, and naturally some will and some won't.

Of course the best thing is, if anyone wants to be untagged, you can just edit the post. Witchcraft!
