Fun PCT run over the hill to the next canyon and back. Scouting for my trail maintenance crew. We need condition reports for project permit applications (water damage from storms, not pictured).

Trail Gorillas handle the bottom 500 miles of PCT. We’re the Angeles National Forest chapter (Section D and half E, ~Wrightwood to Hikertown). Recommend trail runners find their local volunteer group and at minimum scout for them, it’s very satisfying.

Nice to be outside for an extended period today. Saw a handful of people hiking between trailheads, no backpackers. Long distance permits start March but there’s often people sectioning the desert off season (best time for it really).
