Tailwhip has the problem of not having any real hands, but honestly I can forgive that. Despite his awkward appearance he's actually really posable! Sure it's not extreme poseability, but he can still look like he's doing stuff. And the helicopter rotors function as a spinning blade weapon, what's not to love here?

Tailwhip's transformation is pretty much based around exploding the back of the helicopter around to the front and scrunching the nosecone in while the tail splits and accordions into the back to form a pair of wings in robot mode. And this is where we see the problems in the design arise. Mind you not a problem for me, I love this!

I don't think people appreciate this guy enough. Revenge of The Fallen Tailwhip is one of those rare movie Transformers who has a CLEAN alt-mode! No robot bits poking out, no limbs dangling, even his face is hidden behind a tinted cockpit. His paint job is designed to resemble a Hong Kong Police helicopter, though I'm not sure how close to real life it is.
