According to newspaper #TaipeiTimes, the deadly blaze in #Kaohsiung happened in a building where #fire safety issues had been found in 2019, 2020 and in May 2021. Sadly no action was taken, which has lead to the loss of 46 lives.

As great as all the #freedoms in #Taiwan may be, there needs to be #responsibility and #accountability as well.

And yes: That building at the Northern end of Kaohsiung's Fubei Road does look very dodgy on Google Streetview.
