#SouthAfrica 's competition authority is taking strong measures against #Google, #Apple, #Uber Eats, #booking.com, their local version of #Amazon.com called #Takealot, and other leading platforms to stop abuse of market power, support #competition , and to strengthen historically disadvantage business people (mostly #black).

So #Takealot finally credited my account for the missing item.

That took enough nagging

So the scumbags at #TAKEALOT have 'concluded' and closed my ticket, I have no product and no money has been returned! This is now theft!!!

So #Takealot delivered an empty box to me, before Xmas! I'm still fighting with customer service to get them to understand that the product cannot be returned for a refund and was not defective! They litterally have become a corporate like all the rest, too big to handle situations outside of their SOPs. We literally in a loop now.

It blows my mind that the number one online retailer in South Africa, #takealot , does not support 2FA in 2022

The sheer volume of people who have an account on there must make them an amazing target
