As part of my #TakeoutTuesdays project, I backed up my #Mastodon account yesterday for a second time, this time, there are posts on the account. #Takeout was surprisingly fast, only taking 26 seconds to finish (with over 20 MiB of data) meanwhile, #Twitter would have taken over 27 hours. Mastodon does the fastest data takeouts on record for the sites I have tested so far. Installed Thunderbird. Made an account with a dud email. Faffed in the settings with "local folders". Pointed it at the dir where I'd put the mbox download... and ... bam! Works great!
Now I can delete 20 years off my gmail. I hope....

Nun werden die Dateien hochgeladen. 33.000 abzüglich der paar Tausend, die schon über das Smartphone gesynct wurden.
Die Indizierung läuft automatisch an. Gesichtserkennung und Geolokation läuft. Thumbnails werden erstellt. Das wird wohl ein paar Stunden brauchen.

My evening movie watching snacks are more leftover dim sum from yesterday. These are baked bean curd rolls - stuffed with prawn & lobster with Chinese chives. I drizzled lots of sriracha hot sauce atop.
The dim sum is from Jade Fountain Restaurant - located on the lower level of the Red Lion Inn on border of #VictoriaBC & #Saanich on Douglas.

awhrg, I took #takeout from #YouTube, and my first comments there genuinely make me cringe. I had no idea I used to spell like this. At least I mostly used proper punctuation and capital letters!
Also, the comments sound very sassy out of context, I'm just poking fun at silly videos.
I wonder how many comments I've posted in the past 16 years. Funnily enough, I was 16 when I posted the first comments.
