We saw ravens!! A pair of ravens getting harried by a flock of american crows down by Sligo creek and the adventist university! I hardly believed it when I saw it, but we got a really close look when they swooped down to land on the observatory roof!

#TakomaPark #Quakers meet in the Presbyterians' library. Today I sat opposite a tall window with two columns of three rows of panes. The bottoms can be opened by being pushed up; the frames are wide enough to allow for this. Nothing moves up top; there are narrower frames and larger panes. It's an odd mix of sizes, but it maximizes the amount of light coming in.

All of which motivates me to arrange the different parts of my life to let the maximum amount of Light in, even if it looks funny.

David, a ninth grade student, had never played guitar before in his life. I coached him for about 15 minutes before we recorded this YouTube video -- where he is playing a tenor guitar -- a four string guitar.
