Taking up photography a few years ago really opened my eyes to the beauty around me. For example, I went from not paying attention to sunrises to being mesmerized by them!

These utility towers are located in Lafayette Indiana. I took the photos last weekend (between rainstorms) from Tapawingo Park across the Wabash River in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Well...I happen to find myself near my local camera shop today and decided to pop in and just take a quick look. Not to make any purchases...just to take a quick look. Oh, is that a 200mm Takumar lens in the case? Umm...there is a really cheap 300mm Canon FD...I wonder if it is as good as my 70~210mm FD. Oh golly...there is a Spotmatic SPII film camera with a built-in light meeter on the shelf. MUST HAVE!

I took this photo using a vintage Pentax SMC #Takumar 35mm F2 lens on a modern #SonyAlpha a7R II digital camera. Shooting with the aperture wide-open at F2 under bright sunlight can result in a very soft and dreamy photo. Then I increased the color contrast and added softening in #darktable.

I was driving back from Southern Kentucky last Friday and experienced this Hazy sunrise. I pulled off the interstate to take a few photos and then took a few from the road.

I thought about bringing up the shadows a little more, but these are pretty close to what I remember and I wanted to keep that feel.

Photos were taken using a collection of Takumar lenses - 300mm, 50mm Macro, and 55mm.

I wish I had my Canon FD 70-210 on me 😁

Needless to say, it was very warm in London. Even though I was drinking fluids all day, I still came home about 2-3 pounds lighter 😂

On my recent visit to Casey, IL I cam across a lot where several old trucks were parked. Yea!

I used my Pentax Super-Takumar 50mm F1.4 lens to take these photos. It is very soft when wide open and adds a little yellow due to the very slightly radioactive thorium in the glass. Works great when going for that vintage look!
