We watched a moment of the 1929 "talkie" Marianne on the TV. It seems strange to be able to see something nicely restored like this 94 years later, in the home, by fiber optic cable.

The picture and sound quality are nice. This pic of the TV screen doesn't reflect how impressive.

The movie contains the familiar song: "Hinky Dinky Parlez Vous (Mademoiselle from Armentieres)"

A fun but challenging model kit I've been working on and off on and adding to for a while.

I added an #Arduino Nano with the #Adafruit #Neopixel, #Mozzi, and #Talkie libraries, piezo speakers, and #WS2812 LEDs to give it music, sounds, and flickering engine, coalbox, and passenger compartment lights.

At v0.1 of the #HogwartsExpress kit so far.

There are two piezo speakers on the #Arduino: one used by #Mozzi on D-Pin 9 for music, chuff-chuff, and whistle; the other used by #Talkie on DP3 for station announcements.

There's a whine in the chuff-chuff sounds since I hooked up the #WS2812 LEDs and #Adafruit #Neopixel library. The whistle still isn't quite right. The LEDs aren't the right colors yet. I'd like to add more music besides #Hedwig's Theme. The LEDs need way more wire. 😂

Hope to have all the parts this weekend, so it'll be time to throw #Talkie plus some #WS2812 LEDs plus tone() for the bell and maybe whistle plus a white noise generator tweaked to make chug-chug sounds at the kit, see what happens!
