How did I miss this? I've had the album of "True Stories" since it came out and of course I knew that the film existed, but I'd not seen it until today. Very odd, quirky, and well worth seeing IMO.

The re-re-re-first time on vinyl release (but I’m listening digitally) of the music from the concert film, which is also being re-released. Have I stopped making sense? 😆
There are a few previous unreleased tracks, along with some minor tweaks/trimmings here & there. So it’s basically the 1999 release. BUT it sounds so very very good. Also it’s a good excuse to listen to great music. Also also, see the concert film, directed by Jonathan Demme. It’s a masterpiece.

Been waiting 40 years for this one. As soon as I saw the movie and realized that there was a lot of music in the room that wasn't on the recording and that some of the versions in the movie were not the versions on the recording, I wanted all of the movie soundtrack.
