Tamir Rice and I share a birthday. Only the last one he celebrated was in 2014 because killer cops find Black people offensive.

No one ever served time, was convicted, or even charged for the murder of this 12 year old child. This beautiful child. Though everyone knows who his murderers are. They still walk free

I'm sorry I didn't put up a remembrance for him on the 25th and am 2 days late this year. I always think of him on that day.

Tamir was murdered by the police at the age of 12 without warning after playing with a toy gun in a public park. The cop who shot him was fired, neither cop was indicted. The country prosecutors did a willfully poor job.

We have to remember the ongoing violence by American police because nothing has been done to change it, and if we accept a narrative where "we thought he had a real gun" is an acceptable reason to kill a child, then we all lose.
