A tray and cover for an ink stone, shaped like a turtle.
The tray held a block of dry ink that would then be ground and mixed with water to be used in calligraphy.

Two more representations of the bodhisattva.
The first statue, from the Ming dynasty, portrays the bodhisattva as make, in Indian garb. Notable in this one are the four heads in the headgarb.
The second statue, from the Tang dynasty shows the bodhisattva standing in almost a dance pose.
