The following elegiac inscription can be found on a gravestone in the graveyard of St Michael and All Angel's, Haworth, West Yorkshire, UK

Time was I stood as though dost now,
And viewed the dead as though dost me;
Ere long thou'lt stand as low as I,
And others stand and look o'er thee.

Fairly typical of a Yorkshire outlook on life. And death 😀 We have a fair few others like it
