A most excellent afternoon was had fucking off up north with the SO into Skagit Valley.

Dropped into a recently discovered, most-excellent roadside #taqueria. I've never had pozole or hominy before! Great stuff. Soaked up some sun as well as some local townie mini-drama with a lost Mastiff and an over-eager tweaker.

Also managed to get a preview of the early daffodil fields blooming before the tourists overrun the area for the tulip festival next month.

Now, back to the coal mines...

The former taqueria Ramiro and Sons on Alameda Avenue is reopening on Saturday under the guidance of longtime manager—now owner—Juan Garcia, featuring the same beloved menu the location has had since 1985.

The power has been out all week in our neighborhood, but we made it out to Taquero Mucho taqueria late last evening. The sopes were really good, as was the guacamole starter.
I should have gotten some restaurant photos; there’s a very, very pink theme! Very cheery after not having power!
