Last year I developed after being on for six years. At first I was disappointed that I'd have to go off the atypical antipsychotic that had kept me stable for three years. But after I got off it, I also realized I'd been HAZED OUT for six years and not even realized it. They sapped my creativity, my ambition, and the things that made me, ME.

I'm on now and my SELF is back. But so is the struggle of having emotions. 😭

I have been looking for a place to bring my discoveries about as I learn how it affects 500,000 people in the United States alone. Sadly, I am learning from personal experience.

I don't write for sympathy, I want people to understand how it feels to experience this. That means going through some stuff, but I don't want to dwell on it. I want my people to build community, and loved ones to have a window into our experiences.

Nobody talks about it because it's embarrassing.

I had my first really strong episode of shaking at work. is quite a thing. I have chewed a raw spot on my tongue from involuntary muscle movements, and my balance is going because I have the reflexes of a sloth.

All of this because I have a rare nerve disorder and the only medicine that makes my stomach process food causes this as a side effect. It is this or starved to death, and I've been down the other road. I will shake, thank you.
