It's a difficult day for Australia today but still lovely to watch Australian of the Year Taryn Brumfitt accept the award last night for her brilliant work campaigning to improve body image.

As a chubby boy, I was in tears of empathy and hope. "You can't look after something you don't love" is a powerful statement where shame has been institutionalised in a perverse attempt to shame young people to lose weight or otherwise change their bodies.
